Our team is an eclectic mix of talents and nationalities; bringing together IP and networking knowledge, servers and systems experience, project management and architecture backgrounds to form the ideal team for our clients.
Born and bred in Germany, Carsten moved to Switzerland in 2001 to join European Research & Development Projects with his expertise in IT Security and Network Infrastructure.
In 2004 Carsten co-founded EDIFICOM and has since then developed the company’s expertise in Network Infrastructure, IT-Security and Managed Services. He holds a degree from the University for Applied Science in Dortmund, Germany, with a focus on Information and Communications Technology.
When not in the office, Carsten is taking in views and fresh air of the Swiss Alps via his mountain bike. He was once spotted on top of Mont Blanc (sans bike) and also in Sweden where he skied the 90km Vasaloppet.
Chairman & Co-Founder
Fabrice founded Edificom in 2004 with the objective to create a global concept of multimedia-enabled buildings, integrating communications services into architectural design.
With the vision that IT has to be cost-efficient and easy to integrate into any existing infrastructure and environment, Fabrice has developed an outstanding client base and has managed to grow and finance the company through its projects.
With a background in architecture, sales and management of technology, he has more than 20 years of experience in bringing innovation to the market.
Ian joined the EDIFICOM team in 2011 as a Network Engineer.
With a degree in Network Management and multiple certifications in Internet Security, he is always eager to learn and work with new products. Ian is part of our technical support team, dealing with 1st and 2nd level issues as they arise and working closely with our monitoring tools to proactively keep client systems running smoothly. A key part of this role is documentation of issue resolution and creation of best practice procedures, which are then shared within the team.
Born in Chile, but living in Switzerland for over 20 years, Ian can be found scratching records in the winter time under the moniker of “DJ Tenness.”
Senior Systems & Network Engineer
Philippe joined the team in April 2016
Born in the Valais, Philippe grew up and received his education there, including his electronics CFC and since then has worked in a wide range of industries such as barcode, hardware, elevator service, electrical equipment, hydro-electric, Lotus Notes, Insurance, among others.
Married in 2003, he became a father in 2008, Philippe moved near Yverdon and then to Estavayer-le-Lac. He worked as a systems and networks engineer in companies involved in web hosting, housing, Datacenter, online retailer and a Federal Polytechnic School.
Certifications include CISCO CCNA, VMWare VCP 5.5, PC/LAN Supporter SIZ, ITIL, he is a specialist on highly available converged systems, distributed and virtual storage.
He now works at EDIFICOM on the development of virtualization, public cloud, storage, backup and XaaS solutions.
His family, computers, challenges are important to him, but that’s not all. He is also a DJ and electronic music producer (Uplifting Trance)
and a Opensource contributor (Fedora and other projects). It is also a fan of science fiction, comics, and manga.
Born in Paris, Thomas grew up and studied in France. After a first brief Swiss experience in Bern in 2012, he worked for three years in the French capital for a number of well-known banks as a network security engineer.
Thomas joined the team in 2015. Very curious from an early age and eager to discover new technologies, he holds a double degree in computer science from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and Supélec.
When not in the office, Thomas enjoys spending time with friends and family, which includes two loving and annoying cats.
Simon joined EDIFICOM as COO and partner in 2004 after spending 5 years in Switzerland building the global IT infrastructure for a financial company headquartered in Lausanne.
Of British nationality, Simon has a degree in Economics and History, 15 years of diverse IT experience and is certified by various vendors including Cisco, Microsoft, Fortigate, VMware, Enterasys (Extreme Networks) among others.
Within EDIFICOM, Simon directs the technical team, manages and runs internal and client projects, and is very active in developing our client monitoring and alerting solutions.
Married with 2 children, Simon enjoys running, mountain biking, and spending time with his family. He also enjoys photography, and has been known to brew his own beer.
Martin Le Cossec
Hailing from the West of France, Martin studied Electronics and Computer Science in ESEO, an engineering school in Angers.
Working since 2008 in Switzerland within the Vinci Energies group as network engineer and project manager, Martin joined the Edificom team in 2016.
With a solid background in RF technologies (TETRA, WiMAX, WiFi) and considerable experience with large scale projects (public transportation radio systems, radio inside tunnels, …), Martin is able to bring his skills and experience into many projects within EDIFICOM.
Married with 1 child, Martin loves taking part in triathlons (finisher of Nice’s IronMan), mountain biking and trail running. He also enjoy model kits because there is more than just computers in life.
Entrepreneur with many years experience of managing and developing SMEs within Western Switzerland, David joined EDIFICOM in 2016 as Managing Director with the mission to bring the company to the next level. Speaking several languages he enjoys the variety of cultures within our company.
Driven by customer satisfaction, David started his career in the marketing department of a global IT and business process services provider. He then spent several years at a Swiss web development agency where he actively participated to its development, managing large projects and advising major companies across various industries. Passionate about how technologies transform business practices, David also shares his experience as a lecturer at HEC Paris and ESM Geneva.
Christelle joined EDIFICOM in 2013 as the Office Manager.
After an apprenticeship of commerce, Christelle worked in various international companies. Her experience involves the implementation of an SAP tool, training and support to users, improving processes and all administrative tasks linked to sales, buying, support and accounting. She is super organized, customer oriented, motivated and conscientious and is the oil that helps EDIFICOM run smoothly both internally and externally.
When Christelle isn’t in the office, she can be spotted scooting around town on her scooter or catching rays while boating on Lac Léman.
Tony de Raat
Senior Network Engineer
Tony de Raat comes from New Zealand and has been playing with computers since college. Starting as a Field Technician in 1987 working with SCO Xenix and Novell Netware, Tony has increased his IT knowledge to include Server Management, Network Design Management, and Security. He founded an IT Consultancy Firm based in Auckland in 1995 which had worked with some of the largest companies in New Zealand and the Asia Pacific arms and some of the largest companies in the world.
Since arriving in Switzerland in 2010, he has been focusing more on Apple technology and its integration into the enterprise. He is Novell, Apple, and Microsoft Certified to Enterprise Level.
Tony got married on the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year (after 2000) at 11:11am to his lovely wife.
Sarah joined the team in April 2016 as a commercial apprentice after having graduated from school in June 2015.
Sarah spent some time in the medical field but the role didn’t suit her vibrant personality. Thirsty for knowledge, she’s looking forward to the challenge of being a part of the EDIFICOM Team where she will be throughout her apprenticeship. Sarah is involved in all commercial and sales tasks within the EDIFICOM office, from sales & purchasing processes, pre/post sales support and accounting as well as ad-hoc projects for the team.
Sarah loves music, and in her spare time she likes singing and playing both the guitar and the piano.
